Pilgrimage Travel Insurance
Prepare well, so nothing stands between you and the graces God has waiting.
A pilgrimage asks you to leave the familiar behind and open yourself to encounter. Travel insurance is part of that preparation—it frees your heart and mind from worry about the unexpected, so you can be fully present to the sacred moments ahead.
Why Do I Need Travel Insurance?
Travel insurance protects against the unexpected—the things no amount of careful planning can prevent. Here are real scenarios our pilgrims have faced:
Weather forces a flight delay, causing you to miss the first day of your pilgrimage.
Insurance can reimburse you for this travel delay.
You fall while walking on uneven pavement at a sacred site, breaking a wrist.
Insurance can cover your overseas medical expenses.
The airline loses your luggage, and you’re without your belongings for three days.
Insurance can reimburse you for lost or delayed baggage.
A loved one grows seriously ill before departure, and you decide to stay home to care for them.
Insurance can refund the cost of your pilgrimage.

More importantly, it lets you set aside practical worries and focus on the spiritual purpose of your journey—being present to the sacred encounters ahead.
You can purchase coverage any time after your pilgrimage registration is processed. However, to qualify for pre-existing medical condition coverage on the Premium plan, you must purchase within 24 hours of your final trip payment. We encourage purchasing as soon as your registration is confirmed—think of it as part of your preparation, alongside setting your spiritual intentions.
Generali plans cover trip cancellation (100% of trip cost), trip interruption, travel delays, missed connections, overseas medical and dental emergencies, emergency transportation, lost or delayed baggage, accidental death and dismemberment, and rental car damage.
