With guide, Ann Vucic

Medjugorje is not just a pilgrimage, it’s an immersion experience into a rhythm of prayer in a setting steeped in the Lord’s peace. Many have said it is the closest to heaven on earth they have experienced. Pilgrims on this grace-filled pilgrimage will enjoy the guidance and leadership of Ann Vucic, early witness to the Medjugorje apparitions.

Medjugorje
  • On our first full day in Medjugorje, Ann will provide you with a comprehensive orientation about Medjugorje and the apparitions, and you will be given a brief tour of the area, so that you are familiar with everything.
  • We will have two meals each day at our pansion (breakfast every morning, and either lunch or dinner, depending on the events scheduled that day). There are many restaurants in Medjugorje for people who may wish to have a third meal each day.
  • Many of the activities will be subject to availability and weather. You will always have the option of participating in group activities or spending time by yourself. These activities include:
    • Attending the Holy Mass in English every day at St. James church (usually at 10:00 am), with English-speaking pilgrims from throughout the world.
    • Participating in the international program of prayer each evening, which includes the Rosary, Sacrament of Reconciliation, international Mass for all pilgrims, prayers for healing, and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
    • Climbing Apparition Hill, site where Our Lady first appeared to the visionaries.
    • Climbing Cross Mountain; praying the Stations of the Cross as we ascend to the summit.
    • Visiting the Cenacolo Community, where young people with various addictions will share their testimonies about how they found freedom and a new life through prayer, work, and the Sacraments.
    • Hearing talks by visionaries, priests and other locals, when possible.
    • Free time for shopping, so that you can bring back a piece of Medjugorje to your loved ones at home, and private reflection.

Anticipated Weather · September

Split, Croatia 68–80°F Warm & Sunny · Late September The Dalmatian coast holds its warmth well into late September — bright skies and clear Adriatic air greet pilgrims on arrival before the road turns inland toward the quieter, deeper work of the pilgrimage ahead.
Medjugorje 58–74°F Mild & Partly Sunny · September–October Late September brings a settled, golden quality to Medjugorje — warm afternoons, cool evenings, and the valley beginning its turn toward autumn. The pace of the days invites exactly the kind of unhurried interior prayer that pilgrimage is meant to make room for.
Apparition Hill & Cross Mountain 50–64°F Cool & Variable · September–October The hilltops are noticeably cooler than the village as autumn arrives, with shifting cloud and occasional showers making the rocky paths slick underfoot. Sturdy shoes and a slow, intentional pace transform the climb into something the pilgrim carries home long after returning.

Late September and early October is one of the finest times to be in Medjugorje — the crowds have thinned, the air is crisp and clear, and the valley is at its most serene. Pack a light waterproof jacket and sturdy walking shoes for Apparition Hill and Cross Mountain. Modest attire is required at all sacred sites throughout the pilgrimage (shoulders and knees covered).

What Pilgrims Are Saying

I have been challenged to live out the Messages of Medj by living them in my own life and sharing them with others.
Jennie G.
Pilgrim from Brentwood, TN
I was SO influenced by sharing the time with the Universal Church. In Our Lady's message she called us to (paraphrasing) to be carriers of Peace and Joy . So, for me I will try to Evangelize at every opportunity. I truly know that Our Lady loves me as does her Son. My heart is full and overflowing.
