  • On our first full day in Medjugorje, Cindy will provide you with a comprehensive orientation about Medjugorje and the apparitions, and you will be a given a brief tour of the area, so that you are familiar with everything.
  • We will have two meals each day at our pansion (breakfast every morning, and either lunch or dinner, depending on the events scheduled that day). There are many restaurants in Medjugorje for people who may wish to have a third meal each day.
  • Many of the activities will be subject to availability and weather. You will always have the option of participating in group activities or spending time by yourself. These activities include:
    • Attending the Holy Mass in English every day at St. James church (usually at 10:00 am), with English speaking pilgrims from throughout the world.
    • Participating in the international program of prayer each evening, which includes the Rosary, Sacrament of Reconciliation, international Mass for all pilgrims, prayers for healing, and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
    • Climbing Apparition Hill, site where Our Lady first appeared to the visionaries.
    • Day trip on the Dalmatian coast of the Adriatic Sea. Wander the streets of Makarska, visit the beach, or relax at a local cafe. In the afternoon, we travel a short distance to the outdoor Shrine of Vepric, devoted to Our Lady of Lourdes. After Mass return to Medjugorje.
    • Climbing Cross Mountain; praying the Stations of the Cross as we ascend to the summit.
    • Visiting the Cenacolo Community, where young people with various addictions will share their testimonies about how they found freedom and a new life through prayer, work, and the Sacraments.
    • Visiting the Divine Mercy Chapel in Surmanci
    • Visiting Siroki Brijeg – a Franciscan Monastery which is the site of the martyrdom of 30 Franciscan Friars during WWII
    • Hearing talks by visionaries, priests and other locals, when possible.
    • Free time for shopping, so that you can bring back a piece of Medjugorje to your loved ones at home, and private reflection.

Anticipated Weather · October

Split / Makarska / Adriatic Coast 55–68°F Mild & Partly Sunny · Late October The Dalmatian coast in late October is quiet, warm-toned, and largely free of crowds — a fitting first glimpse of this part of the world for the pilgrim arriving not as a tourist but as someone on the way to something deeper.
Medjugorje 48–62°F Cool & Variable · Late October Medjugorje in late October has settled into autumn — cool days, cold evenings, and weather that shifts without much notice. The village is quieter than summer, and that quiet is a gift: more space at St. James, longer hours for personal prayer, and evenings that draw you back to the church.
Apparition Hill & Cross Mountain 42–55°F Cold & Exposed · Late October The hilltops are noticeably colder than the village in late October, and the rocky paths can be slick after rain. A warm layer and sturdy shoes make the climb manageable — and the Magi did not turn back because the road was difficult. Neither, usually, does a pilgrim who has come this far.

Late October in Medjugorje is genuine autumn — pack warm layers, a waterproof jacket, and sturdy closed-toe shoes for the hills. Evenings will be cold. Modest attire is required throughout (shoulders and knees covered), and a warm scarf pulls double duty on the hilltops.

What Pilgrims Are Saying

I have been challenged to live out the Messages of Medj by living them in my own life and sharing them with others.
Jennie G.
Pilgrim from Brentwood, TN
I was SO influenced by sharing the time with the Universal Church. In Our Lady's message she called us to (paraphrasing) to be carriers of Peace and Joy . So, for me I will try to Evangelize at every opportunity. I truly know that Our Lady loves me as does her Son. My heart is full and overflowing.
Pam F.
Pilgrim from Nashville, TN
My spiritual expectation was met. The pilgrimage was run professionally. Ann Vucic, is a fantastic guide! I found her very warm, approachable & always eager to help and answer our questions. She is an asset to your company as her family is from Medjugorje area. She knows All!!! Fr. Dan Reehil is a big factor!   View More
