It was a busy week for Pope Francis, as he presided all the ceremonies of Holy Week.  First, was Palm Sunday where thousands of pilgrims from all over the world gathered in St. Peter’s Square. Only Holy Thursday the Pope led the Chrism Mass where he blessed the Holy Oils that will be used to administer the Sacraments throughout the year. Later that afternoon, he led the Last Supper in Rome’s Rebibbia prison, where he washed the feet of 12 inmates, half of them women. Also included in the group, was the baby of a female prisoner. Following tradition, On Good Friday, the Pope prayed face down in St. Peter’s Basilica for the Ceremony of Our Lord’s Passion. Then, he led the Way of the Cross in the Colosseum. On Saturday, he led the Easter Vigil in a completely darkened Basilica.  Finally, he celebrated Easter Sunday Mass with St. Peter’s square filled to capacity despite the rain the fell throughout the Mass.  If you did not get to watch the Papal Easter Mass, we’re happy to provide it for you below.  Happy Easter.
