Pope Francis’ New Video

Since January, Pope Francis has been inviting us to pray with him for his special intentions. With the help of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, he has been introducing his intentions through videos.

His video for May asks for the prayers and respect for all women. During this month of Mary, it seems very fitting that we should pray for all women.

Every day around the world women and young girls are faced with different challenges. These challenges are, in many cases, not the cause of their own doing.

This month, through the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary, let us not only pray for the respect and dignity for all women but also for the conversion of hearts of all who see women as lesser or unworthy of dignity.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word incarnate, despise not my petitions, but, in your mercy, hear and answer me.
