Pilgrims will travel to the small village of Medjugorje, in BosniaHerzegovina, where the Mother of God has allegedly been appearing daily since June 24, 1981.

Six young people from this village state that the Blessed Virgin Mary has appeared to them, and that she has come to this remote part of the world to bring messages of peace and conversion for all people. In her messages, she stresses the need for each person to turn their hearts back to God. She urges all of us to place God first in our lives and in our families, and she gives us the methods for doing this; daily conversion, prayer of the heart, fasting, penance, Mass, monthly Confession, reading the Holy Bible and living it.

Pilgrims will spend 7 days in Medjugorje, participating in the daily spiritual life of St. James Church, which includes the English Mass, the evening program of prayer and adoration as well as additional activities as outlined in the itinerary.

Medjugorje is not just a pilgrimage, it’s an immersion experience into a rhythm of prayer in a setting steeped in the Lord’s peace. Many have said that it is the closest to heaven on earth that they have experienced.

At the end of our Medjugorje pilgrimage, we will spend 2 days exploring the coastal town of Dubrovnik.

Pilgrimage Itinerary

Day 1 | October 4 | Depart Chicago

Flight from Chicago to Split. Meals served on flight.

Day 2 | October 5 | Sarajevo / Medjugorje

Upon arrival in Split, we will drive to Medjugorje. Dinner will be
waiting for us upon our arrival at our pansion.

Day 3 | October 6 | Medjugorje

Our activities for the next 5 days include:

On our first full day in Medjugorje, Ann will provide youwith a comprehensive orientation about Medjugorje and the apparitions, and you will be a given a brief tour of the area, so that you are familiar with everything.

We will have two meals each day at our pansion (breakfastevery morning, and either lunch or dinner, depending on the events scheduled that day). There are many restaurants in Medjugorje for people who may wish to have a third mealeach day.

We will be able to attend the Holy Mass in English everyday at St. James church (usually at 10:00 am), with English speaking pilgrims from throughout the world.

We will be able to participate in the international program ofprayer each evening, which includes the rosary, the availability of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the international Mass forall pilgrims, prayers for healing and Adoration of the BlessedSacrament.

We will climb Apparition Hill, site where Our Lady first appeared to the visionaries.

You will have the option of climbing Cross Mountain, praying the Stations of the Cross as we ascend to the summit.

We will visit the Cenacolo Community, where young people with various addictions will share their testimonies about how they found freedom and a new life through prayer, work,and the Sacraments.

We will hear talks by visionaries when possible. We will hear talks by Medjugorje priests and other locals, when possible.

There will be plenty of time for shopping as well, so that you can bring back a piece of Medjugorje to your loved ones at home.

Many of these activities will be subject to availability and weather. You will always have the option of participating ingroup activities or spending time by yourself. (B/D)
