Tekton Ministries is proud to announce they will be a primary sponsor for the Inaugural De Colores Golf Classic at Plum Creek Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana, on Monday, October 6, 2014!
The golf tournament is being organized by the Central Indiana Cursillo Community. According to the national website, the Cursillo Movement is meant “to proclaim the best news of the best reality: that God in Christ loves us.”
Richard Sontag, Director of Tekton Ministries Catholic Pilgrimages, Media and Non-Profit Management announced the sponsorship this month as an opportunity to support a local, Indiana-based, non-profit organization seeking to benefit upcoming Cursillo weekends.
Sontag has yet to make a Cursillo retreat weekend but he believes in the importance of their mission and himself looks forward to the opportunity.
Chris Weldon, PR Associate and Social Media Coordinator for Tekton Ministries has made a Cursillo weekend and understands the significance of Cursillo for local Catholic men and women. He said, “I’m glad to see that Tekton and others are stepping up to support a Christian initiative like Cursillo. I’m sure easing the financial burden of the weekends will enable organizers to focus more on the spiritual components.”
Registration for the tournament begins at 9:00 a.m., with tee-off at 10:00 a.m. The cost for the event is $80. The price includes entry into all events, 18 holes of golf, riding cart, lunch, and beverages afterward.
The Central Indiana Cursillo Community seeks to raise $10,000 from the event. They are well on their way with $4,000 already raised as of this writing.
