Please note that all rates and services are subject to availability and confirmation. All tour costs have been calculated based upon current exchange rates and in the event of currency fluctuations of more than 3% we reserve the right to adjust the rates accordingly.
 
These rates include:
* Roundtrip economy class airfare from Indianapolis or Chicago
* Accommodation for 8 nights in Madrid
* All hotel taxes and service charges
* Meals as per itinerary
* One half day tour to Avila with the services of a professional local guide on Aug. 15
* All entrance fees as per itinerary
* Arrival transfer from airport to hotel on Aug. 14
* Departure transfer from hotel to airport on Aug. 22
* Private motor coach for transfers to WYD activities from Aug 15-21
* Porterage of one piece of luggage at hotels
* World Youth Day registration fees (estimate of $350)
* Airline taxes/security fees (estimate of $400)

These rates do not include:

* Gratuities to local guides, drivers, hotel/restaurant staff
* Drinks with meals, extras at hotels and any expenses of a personal nature

RATES
All rates are based upon levels for 2009/2010 and will be subject to adjustment once final hotel rates, airfares, and currency rates are known. A final rate should be available by September, 2010.

MEALS
Please note that we have included only breakfast daily. The reason we did this is because in the past the WYD registration fee included several meals and I am sure that will be the same for this WYD as well.

FLIGHTS
We’ve included an estimated amount based upon flights from Indianapolis/Chicago. Actual fares and schedules cannot be confirmed until 11 months prior to departure, although it’s possible that some airlines may allow bookings for World Youth Day more than a year in advance.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Aug. 13: Depart U.S.A.
Our spiritual journey begins as we depart on our transatlantic flight to Madrid.

Day 2 - Aug. 14: Arrive Madrid
Upon arrival in Madrid we will be met at the airport and transfer to our hotel.

Day 3 - Aug. 15: Madrid
After breakfast we will drive to the walled city of Avila, the birthplace of St. Teresa. Visit the Monastery of the Incarnation where St. Teresa spent many years of her life, then to the Monastery of St. Joseph, her first foundation. Return to Madrid. Begin WYD activities with an Afternoon Mass for the feast of the Assumption of Mary. (B)

Day 4 - Aug. 16: Madrid
Morning free, afternoon opening Mass with the Cardinal of Madrid. (B)

Day 5 - Aug. 17: Madrid
Morning catechesis and Mass, afternoon and evening festivals and events. (B)

Day 6 - Aug. 18: Madrid
Morning catechesis and Mass, afternoon welcoming ceremonies with our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, evening festival. (B)

Day 7 - Aug. 19: Madrid
Morning catechesis and Mass, afternoon events, evening Stations of the Cross through the center of Madrid. (B)

Day 8 - Aug. 20: Madrid
Morning Mass, afternoon pilgrimage to Vigil site, evening Vigil with our Holy Father, overnight under the stars. (B)

Day 9 - Aug. 21: Madrid
Morning Mass with Benedict XVI, rest of the day free. (B)

Day 10 - Aug. 22: Madrid / U.S.A.
Transfer to the airport to catch our return flight home. (B)

Terms and Conditions

Reservations & Payment:
Tekton Ministries requires a deposit of $300 per person at the time of booking. This deposit forms a part of your final payment which is due 90 days prior to departure. We will have another payment due in 2010 but rates are still being negotiated. Reservations made within 90 days of departure must be accompanied by payment in full (if space available). Payments made by credit card will incur a surcharge.

Cancellation and Refunds:
Please make all cancellations in writing. The following per person cancellation charges will apply in addition to any charges assessed by our suppliers: If canceled 120 days or more prior to departure a $50 administrative fee will be charged. If canceled 119-61 days prior a $150 penalty will be charged. If canceled 60-15 days prior a $450 penalty will be charged. If canceled 14-7 days prior a $700 penalty will be charged. No refunds will be made within 6 days of departure. In addition, once the airline tickets are issued, which will be 35 days prior to departure, 100% of the air fare becomes non-refundable.

Travel Documents:
A passport which is valid for a minimum of 6 months past the date of your return flight home is required of all U.S. citizens.  U.S. citizens do not require visas for entry into Europe. If you are not a U.S. citizen, please call Tekton Ministries to inquire about your visa requirement status. Tekton Ministries and George's International are not responsible for individual passports or visas.

Hotels:
Accommodations are in superior class hotels based upon double occupancy in rooms with private facilities. A limited number of single rooms are available for the supplemental charge indicated for the particular pilgrimage.

Air Transportation:
Air travel is in economy class on various IATA carriers. Fares are based on levels in effect at the time of printing, and prices and schedules are subject to change without notice.

Baggage:
Each passenger is allowed one checked bag and one carry-on bag. Tekton Ministries is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen baggage.

Meals:
As indicated on the itinerary. Currently breakfast is included- Lunch and Dinner to be determined at a later date.

Travel Insurance:
We strongly recommend you have personal accident, medical, baggage, and trip cancellation insurance. Forms will be provided upon receipt of your deposit.

Not Included:
Passport and visa fees, gratuities to guides, bus driver and hotel staff, personal travel insurance, laundry, beverages, and items not on the regular menu of the included meals, additional baggage in excess of airport allowance, optional sightseeing tours, and all expenses of a purely personal nature.

Responsibility Clause:
Tekton Ministries and George's International tours act as tour operators. The suppliers providing transportation and sight-seeing arrangements and hotel accommodations for the tour program are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of Tekton Ministries or George's International. All coupons, receipts, and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by suppliers. By utilizing the services of the suppliers, you agree that Tekton Ministries and George's International will not be liable for any accident, loss, injury, or damage to you or those traveling with you in connection with any accommodations, transportation, or any other services , or resulting directly or indirectly from any occurrences beyond its control, including defects in vehicle, break down in equipment, thefts, delays or cancellation of or changes in itinerary for any act, omission, or event during the time you are on board the aircraft. Neither Tekton Ministries, George's International and/or agents, or the airlines concerned are to be held responsible for the late arrival of passengers at the airports or resorts due to inclement weather, nor are they to be held liable for payment or any refund for unused hotel accommodations or meals occasioned by such late arrivals at the hotels holding rooms as confirmed itineraries. Tekton Ministries and George's International reserve the right to modify the sequence of the itinerary should the need arise. In such a case you will be advised prior to departure. Your deposit certifies that you agree with the above terms and conditions.
